According to a recent study, about a quarter of all students take at least one online course, and the number of full-time online students or e-learners is also on the rise.

Colleges have reported particularly rapid growth in online business schools, especially in finance programs. The reason for this is simple: when the economy is in trouble, students tend to study subjects that will give them a better chance at getting a job after college. And students that have business degrees not only have higher rates of employment after college, but also higher starting salaries than most other programs of study.

Why should you study business online? For starters, the stigma that was once attached to online learning is quickly vanishing as more and more students enroll in these programs. Business courses online are also exactly the same ones that you would take in the classroom, there is no difference. And in a troubled economy students must consider the cost of traditional vs. online learning; and the fact is that an online education is much cheaper. Not only will you save money on petrol since you won’t have to drive anywhere, but you can also save on rent and food costs.

Online business classes are also extremely flexible, as there is really no set class schedule. That means that you can work a proper job in the daytime and take your classes and review lectures at night. Lastly, an online business degree will open the same doors for you as traditional degrees, there is no difference.
